In July 2011 Jan van de Garde commented on my clip All that matters. Three weeks later he produced the first three demos, based on two older and one new Justus track. Boy, does he fit in with my musical ideas and way of working. Talking of which: I never met anybody with more speed, energy and musical skills in my life. And he only plays by ear. Just like me. This project might very well turn out to be Justus’ first commercial success.
Jan van de Garde
Jan van de Garde (1968) is a multi-instrumentalist who started playing the piano at the age of seven. Ever since he has been creating and performing music. Playing guitar, bass, keyboards and drums. But his main asset definitely is his expressive powerful voice. His most recent band Backbone -recorddeal Arcade/Roadrunner- was the last step to a solo career with his band VandeGarde. The release of two CD’s on Amini Records is scheduled for the end of 2011.
